Chloramphenicol Ear Drops

Chloramphenicol is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that is able to pass deeply through purulent material to organisms hiding within, reaching into areas where other antibiotics cannot go. It interferes with the production of proteins, stopping bacteria multiplication and hence staving the spread of infection. Chloramphenicol ear drops is used to treat bacterial infection and inflammation of the outer part of the ear canal, allowing it to act at the site of infection which minimises side-effects that could occur with systemic absorption.
