Knowledge Transfer of the Latest TCM Production Techniques
Harmony Pharma has recruited some of the best talents in TCM
manufacturing (from China) who have set up and are now operating the
Singapore plant. This ensures optimal knowledge transfer of the latest
know-how in TCM production. These TCM masters, together with a group of
skilled workers from China, are here for the long term and are well adept at
using modern manufacturing technology to achieve the highest
TCM Liquid
Preparation (heji)
quality.
Sterling Quality
The results are nothing short of sterling. Our
heji have been regarded by many Chinese
Physicians in
Singapore
to be amongst the best there is, evidenced by a steadily
growing customer list. In numerous sampling tests conducted amongst local
physicians, they have described our heji to be “thick and concentrated” with
a “strong smell of quality herbs”. In contrast, other local heji brands were
described by the same physicians to have opposite attributes like being
“thin and diluted” with “little smell of herbs” or even with “the smell of
preservatives being stronger than that of herbs”.
Committed to TCM Manufacturing Excellence
We are committed to producing first-class TCM Liquid
Preparations (heji) that adhere to consistently high standards. We
distinguish ourselves by using top-quality herbs and the latest know-how in
TCM manufacturing to achieve unsurpassed local standards:
-
Use of
Quality Herbs
We only
source for and select the best herbs from all over the Middle Kingdom to
ensure a first-class end product.
-
Complete Herbal
Extraction
Hot
Reflux Extraction
not only retains the traditional water decoction method of
heji manufacturing, but ensures that all active ingredients in the various
herbs used are fully extracted.
-
Low Temperature/Low
Pressure Technique
Our
extraction and concentration
technique uses low temperature and pressure to avoid damaging the active
ingredients present in herbs. The herbal essence would have been destroyed
in typical high temperature/high pressure extractions.
-
Oil-Water
Separation Equipment
This
equipment can
effectively extract and separate
the highly-volatile oily constituents of herbs, making up
for the shortcomings of volatile
component loss in typical high temperature/high pressure extractions.
-
Water-based Extraction
Some brands
use an alcohol-based extraction process to manufacture their heji. Residual
alcohol present in such heji can cause allergic reactions and other nasty
side effects, especially for those who are sensitive to alcohol. To avoid
these side effects, all our heji are extracted using a water-based process.
-
Filtration
The thick liquid obtained
is passed up to three times through fine-pore filters to filter away most
solid herbal residue, resulting in a high-quality bottle of smooth-tasting
heji.
