Livotide Lecture: China’s Top Liver Specialist Wows over 100 Physicians in Singapore
27 April 2007

More than 100 Chinese Physicians went away from the Livotide Lecture, held on 22 April 2007 in Singapore, highly impressed with both the liver product and the speaker.

Professor Qian Ying, a TCM liver specialist flown in specially for this lecture, is regarded as a living medical treasure by China. In 2002, he was conferred by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine of the People’s Republic of China (SATCM) as the 3rd cohort of “Famous Mentors in Chinese Medicine”. Only a selected handful of Chinese Physicians have received this honour, putting Professor Qian in the highest league of TCM professionals. Professor Qian himself is the senior disciple of China’s number one liver specialist, Professor Guan You Bo.

Professor Qian was warmly introduced by well-known local physician Professor Wong San Yong, a part-time lecturer at the Singapore College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, who also runs his own private clinic.

Professor Qian gave a valuable hour-long lecture on the cause, diagnosis and treatment of various liver disorders including fatty liver, viral hepatitis, liver fibrosis and liver cancer. He illustrated his treatment methodology with four interesting case studies that improved markedly with the combined usage of Livotide and Western drugs. Furthermore, he dished out gems like cautioning local physicians against dispensing too much medicine, which could prove detrimental instead of beneficial in the treatment of various liver disorders. He said that these extra and unnecessary medicine place a very heavy load on the liver (the main organ for processing drugs), which itself has already been weakened by disease, resulting in a rapid deterioration of the liver’s condition. Instead, he exhorted local physicians to pick their liver medicine wisely, using no more than 8 herbs, and pacing the treatment regime for maximal healing. For him, Livotide would be amongst his choice picks, as it strengthens and protects the diseased liver, helping the organ fight off other assaults like the hepatitis virus, cancer, fibrosis or excess fat (fatty liver).

As with other Xing Ling lectures, assembled physicians were treated to a lovely buffet spread, watched videos on Livotide, and had the chance to win one of five prizes in a Livotide Pop Quiz cum Lucky Draw. Physicians also took the opportunity to network with each other, catching up with old classmates and discussing the latest medical issues. Due to the eminence of the speaker, this talk was particularly well attended, with some physicians hailing all the way from Indonesia. A group of physicians from Eu Yan Sang TCM clinic were also present, as well as those from Kwong Wai Shui Hospital, Singapore Chung Hwa Medical Institution, Public Free Clinic Society amongst others.

Professor Qian Ying, an eminent TCM liver specialist, considers Livotide a
circumspect choice in the treatment of various liver diseases including fatty liver,
viral hepatitis, liver fibrosis and liver cancer.
