UPDATE ON XING LING
INTERNATIONAL Since December 2005, Xing Ling International Pte Ltd has embarked on the registration of numerous pharmaceutical products produced by Topsun, China’s 5th largest pharmaceutical group, as well as other manufacturers in China. Most of these products are either patented or are manufactured with a protected extraction technology. Much effort has been invested into getting the necessary approvals for these products for the Singapore market. During this period, the registration process was delayed because of a change in registration procedures to a new, IT-based process (PRISM). In spite of these initial difficulties, Xing Ling has now achieved:
LivotideTM , a leading product in China, was approved in August 2006. LivotideTM alleviates jaundice, strengthens, protects and detoxifies the liver against the damages from the consumption of alcohol and accumulated food toxins. Several human clinical trials have also been conducted in China, confirming the protective effects of LivotideTM even on Hepatitis-B and liver cirrhosis. Expected product launch in Singapore is in Q4 2006. As LivotideTM addresses a critical therapeutic indication, its growth potential is strong in the physician and retail sector. Likewise, other products like Dioscornin (Cardiovascular), FuShuTie (Chemotherapy-related adverse reaction management patch), GanMao QingRe (Fever relief), QingRe QuShu (Anti-viral), ChuanBei PiPa (Sore throat relief), BanLanGen (Anti-bacterial), Bright Eye (Ocular health supplement), YuPingFeng (Immunity Booster), HuoXiang (Heat Stroke Relief) and Gui Ling Ji Tonic Wine have also been approved. We are looking forward to several product launches in Q4 2006. Amongst the mentioned products, DioscorninTM has been successfully marketed within China due to its various human clinical trials. With another trial just completed in June 2006 in Shanghai, it is a product that is backed by several clinical studies. The areas of cardiovascular micro-circulation and cholesterol management have tremendous market potential. DioscorninTM can be used in complementary treatment with Statins (cholesterol lowering agents), one of the largest pharmaceutical segments in all major countries. Other products pending approval are: - Mobix (backed by clinical studies on joint and mobility support (arthritis and gout), - Gastroflex (gastro-related problems like flatulence, constipation, cramps and bloating, common symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome) - Sleep Quick (alleviates insomnia), and - DKD (DingKunDan, menstruation and post menopausal symptoms, one of only 4 products with national protected status in China, with over 3 centuries of historical significance) With the impending flux of product launches, we have also initiated contacts, discussions and negotiations with a number of companies from Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, Indonesia and Germany as potential strategic partners via their distribution network into either the traditional Chinese retail sector or into the Western pharmacy and OTC retail sector. In Singapore, symposiums for physicians are already scheduled for the launches of products like LivotideTM and DioscorninTM. Many of the approved products address significant therapeutic markets. We expect these products to boost turnover by late 2006, and profits in 2007. As more products will be launched over 2007, we look forward to Xing Ling International Pte Ltd developing into a significant player not only in Singapore, but also in ASEAN and other international markets in the coming years.
